What we’re waiting for? Halle’s fabulous maternity fashion will soon make its comeback! Always stylish and effortlessly chic, we look forward to Halle proving to us all yet again that her baby bump is her very best accessory. From award shows, red carpets, interviews, and casual out-and-abouts, Halle has pregnancy fashion down. Maybe Halle looks so great with a bun in the oven because she loves being pregnant. During an interview back in 2007 after giving birth to her daughter, Halle gushed about how great she felt while expecting. “There is nothing bad about it. The morning sickness and the vomiting and the hot sweats. Nothing’s been bad about it. I’ve loved every second of it,” she said.
As for maternity chic style, Halle admitted she had to rethink her wardrobe to accommodate a growing baby. “I think I feel like I’m such a slave to fashion. It’s a hard concept for me to fathom that I’m going to have to wear maternity clothes,” Berry explained. Despite the insecurity, the actress revealed a few secrets to her successful maternity looks. “Fashion is on my side.” Indicating her empire waist, she adds, “Everything is up here and shift-y, so I think I can work it out in normal clothes with normal designers in their collections until the eighth or ninth month, then I might have to break down and do maternity.” Let’s see what pregnancy brings to Halle’s wardrobe the second time around. Congratulations Halle and Oliver!
Halle Berry swung by The Tonight Show to promote her new film The Call and to reveal that she had signed on for a sequel to The X-Men. But Jay Leno (and the rest of us) didn’t hear to much of that, because we were way too distracted by Halle’s scandalous dress!
The low-cut Reem Acra dress showed off pretty much every desirable part of the beautiful former Bond girl, and even Leno couldn’t keep his questions on point. He turned the topic of wardrobe, asking the 46-year-old actress to explain the metallic gown she wore the Academy Awards last month. ”I wanted to go to the Oscars looking like a Bond girl,”she said. “I felt like I was wearing a Ferrari.” Leno didn’t miss a beat with his innuendo laden response: ”I enjoy driving a Ferrari. Can you drive a stick shift?” Halle, of course, was down to play ball. ”I learned on a stick shift,” she shot back.
Clothes-talk aside, Halle did confirm that she would star as Storm in X-Men: Day Of Future Past. “It’s a great role, and those residual checks don’t hurt,” she said with a laugh. “But it’s a character that I really love and fans love the whole series. It’s like family, it’s fun to get back together with Hugh and everybody.” Written by: Ketaki
