For the last decade petite fashion diva 5’4″ Rachel Zoe has been styling the stars. Formerly of Gotham and YM Magazine, she is now starring in her second season of The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo, a reality show focused on Rachel as a stylist to the stars. The show is a mix of immature, not-so-competent individuals, acting as though playing dress up with stars and handling cool fashion shoots is serious and difficult work. Often painstaking moments occur for Zoe when dealing with her lame-brained staff, but I suspect , like her, you to would have a nervous breakdown if they worked for you too! It’s a good thing Zoe apparently fired Taylor Jacobsen, a constant source of ineptitude (although Jacobsen claims she left on her own accord). One thing’s for certain, Zoe is the best dressed stylist in the business. She is well known for competing with the stars on the red carpet. Rachel Zoe has an impressive list of celebrity clients for the red carpet, from amazon stars Cameron Diaz, Mischa Barton, Molly Sims, Debra Messing, Joy Bryant and Jennifer Garner, to petite beauties 5’4″ Kate Beckinsale, 5’3″ Demi Moore, 5’4″ Kate Hudson, 5’4″ Lindsay Lohan and 4’11” Nicole Ritchie.
DIVA TWEET WAR
Recently in the news, Zoe vs. Bethany, the Reality Show DIVAS Tweet war! I’m not surprised that these egos clashed on the Twitter page of “Real Housewives of New York City” star Bethany Frankel. The first tweet rip was fueled by Bethenny, tweeting “wondering if I’m the only one who can’t get over the self-important nonsense that is rachel zoe.catching up on my dvr.wow… dying over this show.if I stick on a lampshade with a moo moo and a pair of bananas hoop earrings,rz may just D I E.what a bunch of BS!” Rachel feverishly tweeted, “wow talk abt no class bn friends 4yrs rude… she is inappropriate and clearly desperate for some attention.” What fun would entertainment be without twit tweet-fodder to follow?!
Apparently, Zoe aspires to do more than just tell people how to dress, now she’ll design her own line. As if Zoe doesn’t have enough to do with her own reality show and styling business, she is also working on a full spectrum clothing line that won’t break the bank. She explains, “It will be absolutely, 100% accessible fashion for sure — for everybody. There’s no reason for me to do a luxury-level design. That’s not who I am. I don’t think it’s what people want from me. I think that I would need to give people that fantasy becoming a reality. That’s my job,” Rachel said at an event at L.A’s designer resale shop DecadesTwo, where she cleaned out her closet to benefit.
While details for Rachel’s collection are still under wraps, she promises a complete line that includes jewelry, clothing, bags and fragrance.
