As a pear-shaped petite, you probably already know the benefit of a basic dark wash for your bottom half – this applies to skinny jeans as well! This takes care of slimming your bottom half, leaving you to have some fun above.
Find a longer top in a light color and material – you want to draw attention without bulking up your more delicate half. Some delicate ruffles or bow detail around your bustline will help add a little oomph to that region. Looking to layer? Add a lightweight cardigan or feminine blazer if you want some extra coverage for your bum!
We’re going to start seeing more “grounded” shoes with thicker soles this Fall, which is great for pear shapes in skinny jeans this helps to balance the body line from fuller hips to narrower ankles. This outfit gets the formula just right!
Do you tend to carry your weight in your mid-section? This may sound counter-intuitive, but find a fitted top that comes in at the waist with feminine seaming that hits at your high hip. The key is, it should skim your body but not cling. Layer a dark colored femine blazer that hits just a bit higher than your top, and you’ve minimized your mid-section.
Maximize your lean lower half by indulging in the white skinny jeans that are so hot this Summer, or any fun light color or pattern.
Finally, top off your bottom with some attention-grabbing heels – this is the time to wear those shoes you just had to have…but weren’t sure where you could get away with wearing them!
